adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted, speaking to CNBC earlier this month, said the sportswear brand is now so focused on ecommerce and reaching younger consumers that its media-based marketing efforts have become almost entirely digital. “It’s clear that the younger consumer engages with us predominately over the mobile device,” he said. “Digital engagement is key for us; you don’t see any TV advertising anymore.” He added that the company’s goal is to quadruple annual ecommerce revenues to €4 billion ($4.43 billion) by 2020.
